Privacy Policy
Last updated Oct 2, 2026
Readr is a reading tracker. This policy explains what information we collect when you use the Readr app, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Account information. When you sign in with Apple, we receive your name and email address (or an Apple private relay address, if you choose to hide your email).
- Library and reading data. The books you add to your library, their reading status, favorites, the dates you start and finish books, and any ratings and reviews you write.
- Diagnostics. If the app crashes or hits an error, we collect crash reports through Sentry. These can include device and OS details, app version, your IP address, and an identifier for your account so we can investigate problems.
How we use it
We use this information only to run Readr: to sign you in, store and sync your library, show your reading stats and activity, and find and fix bugs. We do not sell your information or use it for advertising.
Third parties
- Apple — Sign in with Apple.
- PostHog — analytics, crash and error reporting.
- Our hosting and database providers, which store data on our behalf.
Deleting your data
You can delete your account at any time in the app under Settings → Delete Account. This permanently deletes your account along with your library, reading history, ratings, and reviews. You can also revoke Readr's access from your Apple ID settings.
Children
Readr is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date above. Significant changes will be announced in the app or on this site.
